Welcome to the latest NGA newsletter and a snapshot of our Summer 2014/2015 trial plans. The Summer program covers a range of themes in weed and disease management together with general agronomy projects.

A comparison of harvest weed seed management options, prepared by the Australian Herbicide Resistance Initiative (AHRI) is also included together with information on two root-lesion nematode topics. The first highlights the recent updates to wheat variety resistance ratings and the second details the results from our recently completed survey on Pratylenchus thornei management and needs.

Welcome to the latest NGA newsletter and a snapshot of our Winter 2014 trial activity.

This program covers a wide range of themes from nutrition to weed, pest and disease management together with an investigation of the impact on fallow efficiency from increasing stubble loads.

One project where we are looking for support is our harvest weed management activity. Resistant weeds (and weed management in general) are an increasingly high cost component of our farming system.

Welcome to the latest NGA newsletter and a snapshot of our planned trials for Summer 2013/14.

Our winter program is well advanced with most trials in good condition despite the difficult weather conditions in recent months. The summer program is heavily focused on weed management but with a continuation of the root-lesion nematode ‘resistance evaluation’ in summer crop varieties, that commenced in 2012/13.

We have recently closed our 2013 survey on the topic of Fallow Management of Summer Grass Weeds. We had over 90 surveys submitted with responses from nearly 60% of the target audience - a fantastic response. A brief article at the bottom of this newsletter features the results from the question exploring glyphosate resistance levels in awnless barnyard grass.

Once again, if you have any feedback (positive or negative) we would be glad to hear from you.

Welcome to the latest NGA newsletter featuring a snapshot of the summer 2012-13 program.

Our team of Trials Agronomists are currently juggling winter crop harvest with the search for a number of key trial sites. In particular if you have sites with expected high levels of feathertop Rhodes grass, awnless barnyard grass or windmill grass, we would be very keen to hear from you.

Welcome to the latest NGA newsletter and a snapshot of the 2011/12 summer program. The crossover between winter and summer programs is always the hardest part of the year with many winter trial assessments (and of course harvest) still to take place whilst the summer trials are already kicking off.
