The Grains and Research Development Corporation invests in research to profit the Australian grains industry. This is to develop newgrain proilucts, meet market needs, improve grain production and make better use of Australia's naturalresources.
The Corporation otters training awards for suitably qualified people to develop skills and knowledge to meet GRDC objectives.
Two awards are available to growers, processors and others in the grains industry not engaged in R&D activities who can propose a program to enhance their experience and potential to contribute to GRDC's work tor the industry. The awards may be for study tours within Australia or overseas, or for other purposes approved by the GRDC. Support will be for up to six months.
The Corporation will provide tor personal travel costs, including economy class airfares and contribution to living expenses, up to a maximum of $15,000. Preference may be given to applicants who have access to matching funds.
