Two lucky undergraduate students will have the opportunity to work with world-class scientists for 12 weeks as winners of the CSIRO Sustainable Agriculture undergraduate vacation scholarships.
James Clark, Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC) northern panel chair says fostering the next generation of research scientists working to improve grains industry productivity and profitability is a high priority for the northern panel.
“We encourage students to apply for this great opportunity to work on research investigating grain and grazing crops, the use of alternative forages in crop rotations, or dynamics of pathogens in crop sequences in Australia’s northern cropping zone,” Mr Clark said.
Students will participate in various research activities underway in CSIRO’s Agricultural Systems Research team based in Toowoomba.
Applications for the scholarships close on 31 October, 2012 at 11.30pm EST. To apply, download the position description for Q12/03114 from www.csiro.au.
