The new GRDC Fact Sheet provides information on the major diseases of chickpeas and the options available for effective integrated disease management.

An integrated approach to managing fungal diseases in chickpeas in the southern cropping region should focus primarily on ascochyta blight while also paying attention to botrytis grey mould and sclerotinia.

That’s the latest advice from pulse disease experts and the Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC) which has published a Chickpea Disease Management Fact Sheet to support growers with their disease management strategies.

The Fact Sheet provides information on the major diseases of chickpeas and the options available for effective integrated disease management.

The Fact Sheet, which has been mailed to growers with the May-June edition of Ground Cover magazine, is also available for viewing and downloading via www.grdc.com.au/GRDC-FS-ChickpeaDiseaseManagement.
