Grain growers can get on the front foot for the 2014 cropping season by obtaining the latest technical information at their local Regional Crop Update event in March.
Supported by the Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC) and Department of Agriculture and Food (DAFWA), 10 updates will be held throughout the Western Australian grainbelt.
Growers in south-eastern cropping areas are encouraged to diarise the following dates:
- Ravensthorpe Agricultural Initiative Network (RAIN) – March 18 – Ravensthorpe Entertainment Centre;
- North Mallee Farm Improvement Group – March 20 – Salmon Gums Golf Club.
GRDC western regional panel chairman Peter Roberts encouraged growers to get along to their nearest Regional Crop Update event to access new information to help them boost farm productivity and profitability.
“The program committee for the updates has been guided by issues identified by GRDC Regional Cropping Solutions Networks and papers to be presented will focus on local grower priorities,” he said.
