We have an exciting opportunity to join one of the world's leading grains research organisations, within their Communications Team located in Perth.

Description

The purpose of this national role is to assist the Head of Communications to develop communication and extension strategies, liaise with key stakeholders and create multi-channel content.

  • Develop and co-ordinate high-quality corporate and extension communications including media releases, feature articles, social media posts, newsletters, video, audio etc.
  • With the Head of Communications, develop and implement a regional communications strategy in consultation with GRDC teams and third-party service providers who manage delivery channels, stakeholder relations and extension.
  • Develop specific communication strategies as requested for internal business groups, strategic research partnerships and other significant initiatives.
  • Support the Head of Communications in identification and assessment of local, regional and national issues and develop appropriate communication responses as required.
  • Provide strategic communications advice on GRDC event management including panel tours, updates and industry events.

Profile

  • Outstanding multi-channel written communication skills.
  • Qualification in communications, public relations, journalism or similar.
  • Demonstrated 5+ years' experience in a similar communications role.
  • Strong analytics and interpretation skills working across platforms.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Strong media networks. Connection to, and experience in, the grains/agriculture industry considered highly desirable.
  • Experience in photoshop/video & audio production considered highly desirable.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Qualification in communications, public relations, journalism or similar.
  • Demonstrated 5+ years' experience in a similar communications role.
  • Must be prepared to travel as and when required
  • Must have a valid Australian Drivers Licence as deemed necessary.
  • Must be willing to undergo all Pre-employment Medical checks
  • Must be an Australian Citizen

Job Offer

  • Immediate Start
  • $113,116 to $138,253 + superannuation, annually (depending on qualifications and experience)
  • 3 year estimated assignment
  • Annual leave entitlements
