We have an exciting opportunity to join one of the world's leading grains research organisations, within their Communications Team located in either Canberra, Adelaide or Toowoomba.

Description

The purpose of this role is to deliver the internal GRDC communications strategy including intranet, staff newsletters and events. Assist the Communications Team to develop and implement multi-channel communications for growers. This role reports directly to the Head of Communications.

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of GRDC's internal communications strategy, measure and evaluate the effectiveness of internal communications.
  • Write, edit and manage regional newsletters and event media releases in consultation with the Communications Team and regional staff.
  • Assist with delivering internal organisational activities and staff projects which support overarching workplace culture development.
  • Support the Content Manager in ensuring internal and external communications align with the GRDC's visual identity guidelines (including correct use of the logo and brand application) and associated communications policies and processes.
  • Manage the operations/inventory for branded GRDC uniforms, merchandise and promotional items in consultation with the Content Manager.
  • Prepare daily organisational media reports and manage the media distribution list.
  • Participate in an on-call roster for media enquiries.

Profile

  • Qualification in communications, public relations, marketing or similar
  • Demonstrated 3+ years' experience in a similar role
  • Strong analytics skills working across owned, earned, shared and paid media
  • Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work as a member of a
  • An ability to work flexibly and adaptively in a complex environment with multiple
  • Agriculture, research or rural affairs experience will be considered highly desirable

Mandatory requirements:

  • Qualification in communications, public relations, marketing or similar
  • Must be prepared to travel as and when required
  • Must have a valid Australian Drivers Licence as deemed necessary.
  • Must be willing to undergo all Pre-employment Medical checks
  • Must be an Australian Citizen

Job Offer

  • Immediate Start
  • $82,519 to $99,929 + superannuation, annually (depending on qualifications and experience)
  • 3 year estimated assignment
  • Annual leave entitlements
  • This role is available in Canberra, Adelaide or Toowoomba
