Conference sponsorships

Application Details

Applications open:      Friday 11 January 2019

Applications close:      2pm Friday 8 February 2019

The GRDC provides sponsorship assistance to organisations wishing to conduct a conference in Australia or overseas, that directly benefits the Australian grains industry and the GRDC.

In order to ensure the best return on our growers’ investment, applications for conference support must demonstrate the benefit their conference will deliver to the Australian grains industry.

Applicants must submit their application via the Grains Investment Portal.

The GRDC places a high priority on the dissemination and communication of knowledge gained from the conference.

The GRDC invites Conference Support applications biannually. Unless otherwise advised, the applications close in February and July each year (regardless of the date the conference will be held).

Applications may be made for conferences to be held not less than 8 weeks after the date of close of applications, to allow for evaluation and contracting, and no more than 2 years in advance of the date of close of applications.

All applications must include the dollar amount requested from the GRDC.  However, your event may be considered for an alternative level of funding support.

The evaluation panel will review the application against the evaluation criteria including demonstrated value to the grains industry.  Evaluators will consider how well applications align with the GRDC's Key Investment Targets and the total available conference support budget before making a recommendation to the business for a funding commitment.

*Detailed budgets to support your application are encouraged to be uploaded as a separate document prior to submission along with any other supporting documentation*
