Following GRDC’s review of our conference and sponsorship arrangements, a few things have changed. From 2016, we will have two application rounds each year in January and July. Applications will be available on our website from the 1st of the month and will close on the 31st of each month. We will endeavour to have funding decisions made no later than 4 weeks after applications close.
In order to ensure GRDC can deliver the best return on our growers’ investment, we have also streamlined the application criteria. This unfortunately means travel and conference attendance awards will no longer be available – applications will only be accepted if they are sponsorships/contributions for conducting conferences, workshops, seminars, field days or competitions/awards that directly benefit the Australian grains industry. We are especially interested in sponsorship/contributions towards events that can demonstrate a linkage to GRDC’s four thought leadership pillars:
- Future Farming – driving profitability by investment and partnership in science, technology and the pursuit of innovation.
- Opportunity – inspiring the next generation to see the grains industry as high-tech, exciting and a sector people should aspire to work in.
- Competitive – understanding how to keep Australia competitive and how the grains industry can contribute.
- In-Partnership – encouraging collaboration, either domestic or international, to promote innovation.
Apply using the Grains Industry Conference Support Application Form.
This report must be submitted via email to: Kylie Dunstan via Kylie.Dunstan@grdc.com.au within six weeks of the conference completion date.
