Description

Guest Speakers: Rob Daw (Chief Technology Officer Hexagon); and Dustin Severtson (DPIRD entomologist)

Russian wheat aphid and fall armyworm were detected in WA for the first time in 2020, with numbers predicted to increase this season. Dusty Severtson & Svet Micic are currently researching these pests, as well as undertaking DBM project work. Catch up with Dusty and see what new information has come out of this work, and what it means for you.

Rob Daw oversees all technology and innovation at Hexagon (which includes Leica) and brings more than 15 years’ experience in the mining industry. He is working with autonomous machinery and adapting new technologies (including guidance systems and mapping) for the agricultural industry. Come and chat with Rob and find out how this might fit with farming at Lake King.

Grab the opportunity to chat to GRDC staff and Western Panel; & to discuss opportunities and constraints which are relevant to the grains industry.

Refreshments and meal provided.
