Description

Weeds continue to be a major issue for northern NSW growers.

To assist in improving local weed management, GRDC has initiated a new project across the northern NSW grains region that will

address weed research and extension needs of growers. ICAN will be leading this new project.

The project has relatively broad scope, with project activities expected to include a mix of improved delivery of weed management advice via various pathways such as workshops, webinars, field days and GRDC Updates, coupled with additional demonstration and development trials where in-paddock solutions can be identified.

That is where your input is required. We want to understand what is most important to you!

This will help us focus on the key weeds and design the project to maximise local outcomes. Recognised industry experts Mark Congreve and Bill Gordon will be facilitating these consultation meetings.

Share your thoughts and ideas for weed management requirements while also having the opportunity to draw on the expertise of Mark and Bill.

During the consultation meetings Bill will also lead an interactive "Spray Q&A Session" Issues covered will be driven by those attending, but could include:

  • Setup considerations with alternative systems (such as PWM and Multi-step systems)
  • Considerations for OSST nozzle selection and setup - Current spray quality standards
  • Identifying capacity constraints and solutions
