Description

New and experienced agronomists are invited to attend the PREDICTA®B Root Disease Risk Management course to build or refresh their skills and knowledge on soilborne diseases. The course also provides accreditation for delivering PREDICTA®B - the DNA-based soil testing service which enables growers to identify the pathogens posing greatest risk to their farm.

THE COURSE WILL COVER:

  • Launch of the new Rhizobia test for PREDICTA®B* (*Victoria only)
  • The main soilborne diseases for the region including rhizoctonia, and crown rot.
  • Interpreting and understanding PREDICTA®B results
  • Using PREDICTA®B to make better informed variety, rotation and paddock management decisions
  • Yield loss risk categories for established tests and population density categories for new tests
  • Management options
  • Soil sampling strategies

On completion, participants will receive:

  • An accreditation number to access the PREDICTA®B service
  • The Broadacre Soilborne Disease Manual, updates can be downloaded from website
  • A PREDICTA®B soil corer

COST

  • The workshop costs $430.00 Inc. GST
  • This covers catering, a hard copy of the soilborne disease manual plus all participants receive an AccuCore soil sampler.

*A note on participant safety:

In light of COVID-19 we wish to reassure participants that your safety is our number one priority. Places on these workshops will be limited due to social distancing laws and the COVID-19 safety plan measures / and the measures each of our selected venues has in place. During each workshop hand sanitiser will be available along with appropriate food safety practices and the legal 1.5m spacing between participants. A reminder on the participant safety measures will be sent out a few days prior to each workshop to all registered participants. For this reason, registration is essential. In the event these workshops need to be postponed or cancelled due to an outbreak all participants will be refunded and content will be delivered in an alternative format.
