Young scientists: step up now

Young scientists can gain funding of up to $22,000 for projects that involve groundbreaking research and innovation to help keep Australia’s rural industries sustainable and profitable.

Grant applications are now open to 18-35 year olds for the 2012 Science and Innovation Awards for Young People in Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry, in 12 categories.

Sponsors include the Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC) and many other rural research and development corporations looking to advance the careers of young scientists through national recognition of their research ideas.

Applications close 5pm AEDT Friday 18 November 2011.
