Grain growers, agronomists and farm consultants wanting to get the most out of the right adjuvants for different spraying jobs are being equipped with the latest adjuvant information to support their decision-making. The Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC) and Conservation Farmers Inc (CFI) have produced a revised booklet, Adjuvants – Oils, surfactants and other additives for farm chemicals, to promote a greater understanding of adjuvant attributes and their properties.
In Australia alone, more than 300 branded products are currently registered for use as spray adjuvants, surfactants or wetting agents and these products have more than 30 different active ingredients providing varied functions for enhanced pesticide or nutrient efficacy. The often complex subject is clearly explained in the booklet with the use of easy-to-follow charts, tables and tools such as ‘ready reckoners’, a question and answer section and a glossary of technical terms.
The booklet can be ordered via GRDC’s Ground Cover Direct, free phone 1800 11 00 44 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
