SWAN HILL GRAIN MARKETING WORKSHOP: The marketing of the grain they produce is becoming an increasingly important consideration for southern region growers. It is a fact recognised by the Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC) which is supporting growers with the information and resources they need to become more skilled in the marketing facet of their farm enterprises. The ‘GRDC Grain Marketing Technical Workshop – A Fresh Approach to Year-Round Grain Marketing’ will be held in Swan Hill in early September to provide growers with a sound platform for confident marketing decision-making well into the future. The two-day workshop at the All Seasons Swan Hill Resort on September 4-5 will offer practical farm management strategies that growers can apply to their individual grain marketing plans. Workshop co-ordinator Natasha Morley, of Rural Directions Pty Ltd, said the GRDC-subsidised workshop would give growers the confidence and tools to enable them to take control of the marketing of their grain.
