Workshop opportunities for grain growers
Author: Ellen McNamara | Date: 19 Jun 2017
Changing climates, technological changes, rising costs and keeping necessary skills and know-how up to date can be a daunting side to a cropping business, but by changing perspectives, these challenges can also become an opportunity.
Regional Development Australia (RDA) and Murray and Food Innovation Australia Limited (FIAL) are inviting growers to a series of practical agribusiness development workshops connecting growers to leading food industry experts, agricultural scientists and researchers.
The aim of the workshops is to explore emerging opportunities for on-farm business and to further educate growers on how to improve profitability by accessing new markets.
Over the course of two one-day workshops, growers will work with experts to review current business models and develop new agribusiness plans.
The first workshop will be held in Culcairn on 28 June, to be followed by further workshops in Wentworth, Barham, Deniliquin, Corowa and Corryong.
Growers can find out more at www.rdamurray.org.au or by contacting Dr Gary Saliba, Executive Officer on 02 6058 0600 or email@example.com.
