Grain storage workshops for SA
Author: Sharon Watt | Date: 21 Jan 2014
Grain growers keen to improve their on-farm grain storage systems are being invited to attend workshops in South Australia in April. Grain storage expert Peter Botta will be presenting and taking questions on a range of issues including pest identification and control; understanding aeration cooling and aeration drying; successful fumigation in gas-tight storage; pest prevention through grain hygiene; and managing the various types of storage, including silos, bags, bunkers and sheds. The Grains Research and Development Corporation-supported workshops will be held at Keith on April 16 and Kadina on April 17.
Details about the workshops are available from Peter Botta on 0417 501 890 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. For more information about grain storage, visit the GRDC information hub at www.storedgrain.com.au.
