With fungicide, herbicide and insecticide resistance on the rise in Australia, future management of crop diseases, weeds and pests is a challenge confronting the nation’s grain growers.

These challenges, and opportunities to overcome them, will be the focus of this year’s Crop Protection Forum, to be held in South Australia in early December.

The forum is being presented by the Centre for Crop and Disease Management (CCDM) – a national research centre co-supported by Curtin University and the Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC) – in partnership with the Australian Herbicide Resistance Initiative (AHRI) and research organisation cesar.

The one-day forum, entitled ‘Riders of the Storm of Resistance’, will bring together researchers, practitioners, growers, agronomists and resellers to tackle the important questions around crop disease, pest and weed control and management.

The event will feature presentations on evolving resistance, new research aimed at tackling the issues and a look at what innovations are needed to manage the impact.

The forum will be at the Stamford Grand Adelaide, Glenelg (SA), on December 6, 2018. For more information or to register, please go to https://buff.ly/2NAN9RB.
