The meeting brings together an anticipated that 250+ delegates from different regions and will join together and exchange scientific knowledge and ideas. The broader range attendees from different countries will strengthen international collaborations, increase research alliances and expose researchers to other regions area of expertise. The program is designed to amalgamate plant pathology research from tropical, subtropical and temperate regions. A large component will be dedicated to extension, capacity building and training. This includes concurrent sessions with over 20 session topics and pre and post conference workshops. Based upon attendance at previous APPS conferences, there will be a large number of delegates who may have funding from the GRDC or research within the Australian grains industry. The flow on effect will be greater exposure of grains pathologists to other researchers outside their commodity groups, broadening their knowledge and increase collaborative opportunities.
