GRDC Board Chairman Andrew Inglis has been named South Australia's first Farmer of the Year. Mr Inglis, of Merriton near Crystal Brook was presented with the award by the State's Primary Industries Minister Rob Kerin.

Mr Inglis received the award for contributing to the betterment of fellow primary producers on a State basis and showing an example in his own farming operations.

Mr Inglis is a busy man on behalf of his fellow farmers. In addition to chairing the GRDC Board, he is also a member of the Australian Wheat Board and recent past president of the Grains Council of Australia.
