Bugs in the glove box
A NEW GUIDE to crop insects of the northern grains belt is ready to join the earlier one, for weeds, in the glove boxes of farm utes in Queensland and northern New South Wales. The guide is in the same 150 mm x 100 mm, hard-covered, spiral-bound format as its predecessors, issued across Australia's grains belt under the TOPCROP program. Production of Crop Insects: The Ute Guide: Northern Grain Belt - which was compiled by Queensland's Department of Primary Industries - was supported by growers and the Federal Government through the GRDC. The guide has coloured photographs and descriptions of beneficial as well as pest insects.
Costing $27.50 plus postage, the guide is available from the DPI Information Centre, PO Box 102, Toowoomba Qld 4350; ph074688 1415,fax 074688 1416. Or contact Rural Connect, freecall 1800 110044; freefax 1800009 988; email ruralconnect@ ozemail.com.au.
