CLIMATE RISK EYE TO EYE
GroundCover™ Issue: 42
To help growers get around climate forecasts and develop climate risk management strategies, growers through the GRDC are supporting a new information package. The package includes booklets, worksheets and access to ongoing climate information networks. The climate risk program has developed climate models that have improved regional and crop focus, making it easier for growers to interpret climate risk. Models designed to predict ·and map frost risk have been developed and growers are receiving information on the use of climate forecasts to manage climate risk. Decision support tools to better assess and manage climate risk have also been developed as part of the package.
Information on the package, climate information networks and associated workshops is available from SARDT.
