BIlla Billa Pigeonpea Field Walk

Woods Seeds and QDPI, with investment from GRDC and the assistance of MCA, are conducting pigeonpea variety and agronomy trials at a joint site at Billa Billa.

Interested growers and agronomists can see pigeonpea in the field and understand the opportunities and issues with growing pigeonpea.

Our target is to build a new pigeonpea industry in Queensland, providing growers with a profitable new broadacre summer legume crop, and developing new export markets to Asia, building on the success of mungbean and chickpea.

A second field walk will be held at Condamine on Tuesday 11 March 2025, with details to follow.
