Summary

The role of an advisory board in supporting farm business growth

Shane Sander, Agvise

As the scale and complexity of farm businesses increases, advisory boards have become more common. The appointment of external advisory directors is a means of bringing additional strategic and management skills and support with the big decisions when they need to be made.

Shane Sander from Agvise will provide pointers on how to assess whether an advisory board is what your business needs, how to select the composition of the board and what key factors are critical for it to operate effectively.

Shane will be joined by grain grower David Fulwood from Fulwood Grain Company who will share his experience of setting up and operating an advisory board.

GRDC Farm Business Update National Livestreams are topic specific, interactive, interview style discussions that address key farm business management improvements common to grain growing businesses across Australia. Video
