Demonstrating the effects of reduced lupin seed integrity on crop establishment
This investment will review and test lupin seed establishment and seed viability following mechanical handling processes (harvesting, auger effect, storage, seed cleaning, meter roller, seed bounce and different seeding systems) of different lupin varieties. Commercially available lupin varieties will be tested including samples with and without sufficient manganese .
A webinar and video that discusses the findings from the growers involved in the harvest and handling trials will be recorded and available on the GRDC Youtube channel.
