eftsure Data verification software

GRDC has implemented a data verification software solution - eftsure as part of its accounts payable process to improve payment security measures.

The threat of cyber fraud is a risk we take very seriously. Cyber fraud can include business email phishing scams, or payment data files being altered fraudulently.

From April 2023, all new suppliers and existing suppliers wishing to update their entity or bank account information are required to provide business information to eftsure for independent verification before they will be able to receive payment from us.

eftsure processes, in particular, the verification phone call made to new suppliers, assure that your details are genuine and accurate.

Business information required for verification includes:

  • bank details
  • ABN
  • trading name
  • GST registration
  • company contact.

If you have already been verified with eftsure, through your engagement with another customer and your details have not changed, you will not be required to verify again.

About eftsure

eftsure provides a robust system recognised for protecting supplier payments against fraud and error by:

  • validating ABN
  • GST registration status
  • bank account details.

This ensures payments are made to the intended recipient.

Supplier data provided to eftsure is independently verified by eftsure to ensure only legitimate information is entered into GRDC’s finance system. Due to the nature of their business, eftsure treats security with the utmost importance.

Guidance

New suppliers

Once your first invoice is received by our finance team for processing, you will receive an email invitation from eftsure asking you to register your details as a new supplier in their secure portal, including your:

  • ABN
  • company name
  • address
  • email
  • bank account details.

After you have registered your details, you may receive a call from an eftsure team member (usually within 2 business days) to verify the details are correct. You will receive a confirmation email from eftsure when your data has been verified.

You can update your details at any time by contacting GRDC and asking them to send you an 'eftsure change request'.

Existing suppliers

If you need to update your bank account details or have changed the entity you trade through, you will be required to provide the updated information to eftsure. Contact GRDC and ask to be sent an 'eftsure change request'.

You will then receive an email from eftsure with a link to update your data in their secure portal. A confirmation email will be sent once your data has been verified.

Depending on the data you are updating, you may receive a phone call from an eftsure team member to verify your details over the phone before you receive a confirmation email.
