Grains Sector GHG Baseline and Mitigation Project
International grain markets are increasingly demanding that the climate implications of grain production be accounted for. This investment will inform efforts to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions intensity of Australian grain production.
The project will determine a baseline of emissions arising from grain production, develop methodology to calculate a dynamic emissions baseline that reflects the underlying production undertaken in any given year and forecast trajectories that will support the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions through the implementation of profitable farming systems changes.
