Unlocking Soil Potential (USP) Strategic Partnership Agreement
The Unlocking Soil Potential (USP) investment is a five-year strategic partnership between the GRDC and NSW DPI. It aims to lift and shift the grains production frontier by 'unlocking' access to water and nutrients in constrained NSW cropping soils. This will be achieved by supporting adoption of existing knowhow and technologies, so growers are reaching current production frontiers (i.e., lift), and further push (i.e., shift) that production frontier through the development and commercialisation of four classes of Next Generation Soil Technologies (NGSTs), currently at various stages of technology ready levels (TRLs), that address multiple soil constraints inherent across six NSW sub-regions.
