Precision ag analytics for frost and heat management
This project uses a data-driven modelling approach to identify frost/heat events and their impact on yield loss in wheat, barley, canola, chickpeas, and lentils across Australia's grain cropping areas. It utilises big data and takes on a 'precision agriculture' approach. Key to this approach is the large on-farm datasets being provided by corporate farming businesses and commercial partner Precision Cropping Technologies. The project consists of nine complementary work packages (WPs). These WPs will culminate in delivery of a pre-sowing decision aid tool and in-crop decision aid tool, both powered by innovative analytical methods.
