UWA00173 - Capacity building to understand plant energy efficiency in harsh environments
This project supports PhD training and research seeking to improve crop performance through the manipulation of plant energy efficiency. The investment leverages fundamental research conducted within the ARC Centre of Excellence in Plant Energy Biology: PhD research is investigating potential to maximise the efficiency of energy organelles by studying the efficiency of metabolic strategies in plants; altering the biogenesis of energy organelles; and, co-opting the signalling processes that control the activity of energy organelles during environmental challenges and recovery.
