    GRDC Podcast: NVT Overview

There’s been a significant change to the National Variety Trials program. It’s now fully managed by the Grains Research and Development Corporation. You might be thinking… wasn’t it always? Well while the NVT program was established by GRDC back in 2005 its only in 2018 that the administration and day to day management of the national comparative crop variety trials program has come under GRDC management. The NVT Program

NVT Online provides access to independent results on the performance of recently released grain and field crop varieties. It is a national program of comparative crop variety testing with standardised trial management, data generation, collection and dissemination. This is managed through an internet accessed database that ensures a common approach and uniformity across the system.

  • The NVT Online Website

The NVT Online website is the delivery method for the NVT program. The Google Map delivery system enables all crop specific information (including trial results, sowing guides, End Point Royalty, etc) for an entire state to be delivered to the user at a “Site Near You”.
