Increasingly, growers who can maintain grain quality through best practice storage management are well positioned to become ‘price makers’ rather than ‘price takers’.

To assist growers with grain storage practices and decision making, GRDC has developed a new GroundCover publication showcasing the latest research, development and extension information.

The GroundCover Grain Storage publication includes extensive information on effective fumigation, the benefits of aeration cooling, different grain storage systems on the market and how to manage phosphine resistance. Read the publication now. Hard copies of the publication will also be sent to all GRDC GroundCover subscribers in January 2022.

GRDC also has a new fact sheet to assist growers who experienced a wet harvest and are now looking to retain seed. For tips on how to save weather damaged grain for seed, take a look at the GRDC’s Retaining Seed Fact Sheet.
