Practical tactics to improve ground cover and ensure soil preservation following successive low rainfall seasons
Following successive low rainfall years (2017-19), that resulted in very low to no ground cover on the lighter soils across the low rainfall zone of the Southern Region, growers and advisers were faced with difficult management decisions to re-establish or preserve ground cover.
This investment will create and collate grower case studies (inc. video), paddock monitoring reports from the Northern Mallee region of SA and Victoria, the Mallee region of south western NSW, as well as the Upper Eyre Peninsula to assist growers to make sustainable and profitable management decisions when re-establishing or preserving ground cover.
