DAF Emerald Research Facility Crop Walk
DAF and GRDC invite growers, agronomists and consultants to a BBQ breakfast and crop walk at the DAF Emerald Research Facility (former Emerald Ag College campus). To check out the following trials:
- Long coleoptile wheat
- Companion cropping
- National Variety Trials – wheat, barley and chickpeas
- Winter sown sorghum
- Northern farming systems
- Early sown chickpeas.
The GRDC northern panel will be on site for the crop walk and are keen to talk with local growers, agronomists and consultants about current and future research and development investments in Central Queensland. Please RSVP to adminrockhampton@daf.qld.gov.au or 07 4991 0800.
Please note this will be a COVID safe event and no private vehicles will be allowed beyond the campus area. Buses will leave for the field walk locations at 8.30am.
