GRDC National Grower Network Forum – Stawell
Come along and contribute your suggestions for future GRDC investments in research, development and extension.
The forum will gather your feedback and input into your local research and extension needs, and consider how GRDC investments could add further value.
The forum will provide an update on local GRDC investments and feature Daniel Bosweld, Field Research Officer from Field Applied Research (FAR) Australia , who will provide an update on NFNB management in barley, Stripe Rust control, using PTQ to determine yield potential in the HRZ, and pulse management.
It will also include:
- Greta Duff, Southern Farming Systems Senior Research & Extension manager, and Michelle McClure, SFS Communication & Engagement Coordinator, will provide an update on a range of Southern Farming Systems / GRDC projects.
- Insights will be provided on farming systems, enterprise choice and sequence strategies that drive sustainable and profitable farming systems, pulse management eg. interactions of variety and sowing date on faba bean phenology and yield; and disease management strategies.
- The results from the Stawell soil acidity trials will also be presented. The forum is free of charge and will be led by GRDC Grower Relations Managers, Tim Bateman and Courtney Ramsey.
- A facilitated workshop session will allow you to contribute the factors which are impacting your farm productivity and profitability.
- We will also review opportunities for local GRDC research, development and extension support.
All growers, advisers and industry representatives are welcome.
